Industry Committee Secretary in the House of Representatives Mostafa El-Bahi stated that the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCEZONE) can serve as a primary platform to translate the Egyptian-Korean partnership into productive projects by attracting Korean companies and suppliers, linking production to domestic and international markets.
El-Bahi told MENA that the success of the partnership will be measured by its ability to raise local components, transfer technology, integrate Egyptian companies into supply chains, create feeder industries, and increase exports. He noted that Egypt has an opportunity to benefit from Korean expertise to build a technology-based industrial base.
He emphasized that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's confirmation of the importance of economic and investment partnerships reflects Egypt's vision to build an advanced industrial base. President Sisi highlighted the upgrade of bilateral relations to a strategic partnership during a press conference in Seoul with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and congratulating the Korean people on their National Foundation Day.
