Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly chaired a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the government HQ in the New Capital to discuss a range of political, economic and social issues on the government's agenda, as well as ways to implement presidential directives effectively and within appropriate timelines.The cabinet is set to review developments in the region and Madbouly's visits this week to the Suez Canal Economic Zone, where he inaugurated several factories, as well as follow up on President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to the government.The meeting will also address efforts to curb inflation and increase spending on healthcare, education and social protection, along with measures to stabilize markets and ensure the availability of food commodities.The cabinet will also review progress on national projects across Egypt, as well as efforts to expand social protection and support the most vulnerable, improve education and healthcare, promote investment and exports, and localize industry as part of Egypt's Vision 2030.It will also follow up on previously adopted measures related to investment, industry and exports, expanding agricultural land, making industrial land available to investors, social security and tax policy, as well as development programs across state sectors and measures to support low-income citizens and meet their needs.
