Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh on Saturday, October 3, 2026, discussed with President of the Trade and Development Bank Group (TDB) Admassu Tadesse ways to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment financing, on the sidelines of the Alamein Africa Forum.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the Commercial Representation Service, the Export Development Authority and the Sovereign Fund. The talks covered opportunities to use financing instruments offered by the TDB Group to support Egyptian companies operating across various sectors and assist exporters seeking to expand into African markets.
The two sides also discussed financing mechanisms that could support non-bank financial institutions. They also discussed ways to strengthen communication between TDB Group and Egypt’s business community, in coordination with export councils and relevant authorities, to identify the needs of Egyptian companies and projects seeking to expand into African markets.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination to explore priority areas of cooperation, which could increase the participation of Egyptian companies in African markets and strengthen trade and investment ties between Egypt and countries across the continent.
