Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Hafiz platform for financial and technical support for the private sector is among key tools for innovative financing meant to support Egyptian companies and enhance their competitiveness.
During the minister's participation on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in a promotional event for Hafiz platform, which serves as an executive mechanism for innovative private-sector financing by connecting Egyptian businesses with international development and financing partners, the minister said the initiative reflects the State’s approach toward strengthening the role of the private sector as a key partner in achieving economic development.
The event was attended by representatives of the private sector, business councils, chambers of commerce and international development partners. He added that launching awareness tours for the platform across governorates is a practical step to expand its benefits nationwide, particularly in Upper Egypt, in line with the state’s goal of balanced and comprehensive development.
The event also witnessed the signing of letters of intent by the FM with Chemonics Egypt and Forvis Mazars to conduct promotional tours for the platform across governorates and enhance cooperation with international consultancy firms in capacity building, advisory services and technical support.
It also included a presentation of the platform’s services and how to benefit from them. Abdelatty held talks with private sector representatives and international development partners, during which he listened to their views and proposals on improving the business environment and boosting trade and investment flows.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to direct engagement with the business community to overcome obstacles and support economic partnerships. For their part, development partners presented their perspectives on mechanisms to support the private sector and ways to maximize the use of government and development programs in line with business needs.
The minister also emphasized the continued efforts of the Ministry to strengthen economic diplomacy tools and activate international partnerships in support of national development priorities, transforming financing instruments and technical expertise offered by development partners into tangible opportunities that enhance the Egyptian economy and its competitiveness.
