CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Awad, and CEO of Dubai Chambers Mohamed Ali Rashed Lootah discussed on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation and support partnerships between Egypt and the UAE.
The meeting, attended by Head of the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in the UAE Manal Abdel Tawab, came as part of efforts to strengthen economic and investment ties between the two countries and expand cooperation between their business communities. Awad highlighted the role of Dubai Chambers in connecting businesses with global markets, referring to the potential to activate its Cairo office to promote investment opportunities in Egypt among Emirati companies and support those seeking to expand in the Egyptian market.
He pointed to opportunities for new projects and partnerships in manufacturing, logistics, renewable energy, technology, tourism, real estate development, and supply-chain-related manufacturing and re-export. Lootah stressed the importance of continued coordination between Dubai Chambers and GAFI to promote investment opportunities and create new avenues for Egyptian-Emirati partnerships and joint projects.
