Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly chaired a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in the New Capital to discuss a number of political, economic, and social issues on the government’s agenda, as well as to review the implementation of presidential directives assigned to the government within appropriate timeframes.
The Cabinet will also follow up on the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, along with presidential instructions to ensure the availability of the state’s strategic commodities for several months. It will also continue and intensify efforts to curb inflation, increase spending on health, education, and social protection sectors, monitor market regulation and the availability of food supplies, and continue work on national projects across all governorates.
In addition, the Cabinet will review measures related to expanding social protection, supporting the most vulnerable citizens, and advancing education, health, comprehensive development, investments, export growth, and industrial localization within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
It will also follow up on previous actions taken in investment, industry, and export files, expanding agricultural land, allocating industrial land to investors, strengthening the social insurance system, tax-related reforms, development efforts across various state sectors, and measures to support low-income groups and secure citizens’ needs in general.
