Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), signed a contract with the Turkish company “EROĞLU Global Holding A.Ş.” to establish a carton and packaging factory in Qantara West Industrial Zone, covering an area of 70,000 m², with total investments of USD 175 million.

The factory will produce Tetra Pak units, carton boxes, and sheets, providing 2,000 direct job opportunities. Fifty percent of production will be allocated for export, while the remaining fifty percent will be directed to the local market. Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien stated that the project strengthens the industrial supply chain, adds value to Egyptian products, and increases the total number of projects in Qantara West Industrial Zone to 52, spanning 3,537,100 m², with cumulative investments of USD 1.531 billion and providing 72,665 direct job opportunities.

“EROĞLU Global Holding A.Ş.” has three other projects in Qantara West Industrial Zone, and the carton and packaging factory represents the group’s fourth project, making it the largest industrial investor in it.
