Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir said the comprehensive development boom and unprecedented progress witnessed across Egypt’s various sectors are the result of a strategic national vision led by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He added that President El Sisi has succeeded in rebuilding state institutions, strengthening their capacity to confront challenges, and launching major national projects that have reshaped Egypt’s development map and reinforced its position as a strong state with a clear vision for the future.
Wazir made the remarks while attending a major ceremony organized by the National Press Authority to launch the book "Man of Destiny… The Biography of a Leader… The Journey of a Nation," held in conjunction with the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution. The event was attended by the ministers of health and population, electricity and renewable energy, education and technical education, higher education and scientific research, justice, petroleum and mineral resources, foreign affairs, international cooperation and Egyptian expatriates, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, National Press Authority Chairman Abdel Sadeq El-Shorbagy, as well as a number of editors-in-chief and media figures.
In his speech, the transport minister said the timing of the book’s release carries special national significance, as it documents a key milestone in Egypt’s modern history and chronicles the journey of a leader who guided the state through a critical period, laying the foundations of the New Republic based on construction, development, hard work and future planning.
He stressed that documenting major national experiences through research and archival work is a national responsibility that preserves collective memory and conveys to future generations the realities of the country’s challenges, efforts and achievements, thereby strengthening national awareness and a sense of belonging.
El-Wazir said the transport sector has been among those receiving strong support from the political leadership, reflecting President Sisi’s belief that developing a modern transport system is a key driver of comprehensive development and a cornerstone of state-building.
He noted that this vision has been translated into the largest development plan in Egypt’s transport sector history, covering roads and bridges, railways, metro systems, electric transport, seaports, dry ports and logistics zones, establishing an integrated, safe and sustainable network across the country.
The minister said the June 30 Revolution remains a defining milestone in Egypt’s history, marking a turning point that paved the way for a new phase of construction and development through major national projects across all sectors. He concluded that Egypt, under President Sisi, continues its development path with confidence, guided by an ambitious national vision aimed at achieving sustainable development, improving citizens’ quality of life and enhancing Egypt’s regional and international standing.
