President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary Election in Osun State after the President secured an overwhelming 100,888 votes in the exercise conducted across the state on Saturday. Speaking at the conclusion of the primary election in the State, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr.
Adegboyega Oyetola, who served as the State Coordinator and Returning Officer for the 2027 APC Presidential Primary, described the process as peaceful, transparent and historic, praising party members for their discipline, patriotism and commitment to democratic values.
Announcing the official results in Oshogbo, Oyetola said President Tinubu polled 100,888 votes, while the second aspirant, Mr. Stanley Osayamen Osifo, recorded zero votes. “By the powers vested in me as the Returning Officer for Osun State, I hereby declare His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election in Osun State,” Oyetola declared.
The Minister said the orderly conduct of the election across all 30 local government areas of Osun State, including the Ife East Area Office, reflected the unity and internal cohesion of the APC. He noted that the large turnout and voting pattern demonstrated “the confidence of party members in Tinubu’s leadership and the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.” “The peaceful conduct witnessed across the thirty Local Government Areas of Osun State is a testament to the enduring strength and unity of our party,” Oyetola stated.
He further described the outcome as “a resounding affirmation” of the trust party faithful have in the direction of the APC-led Federal Government. “As we move forward, I urge all members of our great party to remain steadfast, united and committed to the collective task before us,” he said.
He stressed that sustaining party unity and mobilisation would be critical to securing further electoral victories for the APC at both state and national levels.
