Telecom Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Grova Developments, one of the companies of Hassan Allam Holding Group, to provide advanced integrated telecommunications solutions and smart city services. The agreement comes as part of Telecom Egypt's strategy to expand support for digital infrastructure in new urban communities and enhance their readiness for digital transformation.
According to the agreement, Telecom Egypt will establish and develop the telecommunications network infrastructure throughout the project using advanced Fiber-to-the-Room (FTTR) technology. The company will also deploy XGPON technology to provide ultra-high-speed internet services, in addition to offering Triple Play services, including high-speed internet, fixed-line telephony, and IPTV digital television services to users.
Telecom Egypt will further provide advanced digital solutions and services, including Home Automation, a Community Mobile App, Public Wi-Fi and other cutting-edge digital technologies. Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt Tamer el Mahdy said the partnership represents another step in the company's efforts to support digital transformation and develop smart infrastructure for modern urban communities across Egypt.
For his part, CEO of Grova Developments Sherif Sadek said the partnership reflects the company's vision of developing integrated communities based on quality, sustainability and long-term value that meet the aspirations of future generations. He stressed the company's commitment to providing all the elements necessary for a comprehensive living experience, including advanced digital infrastructure, which has become an essential component of modern lifestyles.
