The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed a USD 2 mln agreement with Turkish-Egyptian alliance Sai Hydraulic to establish a trailer manufacturing plant in the Ain Sokhna Integrated Industrial Zone, the authority said. The project will be located within the industrial developer area operated by Main Development Company (MDC) and will cover 12,000 square metres.

The facility is expected to create around 150 direct jobs, with production capacity projected at up to 100,000 tons per year once operations begin in early 2027. SCZONE said the project aligns with its strategy to attract advanced manufacturing and localize production of equipment and machinery for industrial and infrastructure applications.

The authority added that such investments are expected to support export growth and strengthen Egypt’s position in regional and global markets.
