Chaurasiya expressed a commitment to growing TVS Motor Company through listening, humility and continued experimentation Pradeep Chaurasiya has taken on the role of Business Head of Africa for International Business at TVS Motor Company. It marks a new chapter in Chaurasiya’s eight-year journey with the company on the continent.

Announcing the development, Chaurasiya reflected on a journey that began with responsibility for a single African country and has grown into a leadership role spanning more than 50 countries. “Eight years ago, I started with TVS in Africa with just one country.

Today, I’m privileged to lead our journey across a continent of 50 plus countries,” he said. Chaurasiya highlighted the importance of understanding Africa’s diverse markets, emphasising that effective business leadership requires an appreciation of local people, cultures and ways of doing business.

“Africa is not one market. It is many, each with its own people, culture, and way of doing business,” he said. “Every step taught me something.” His approach carries relevance for markets such as Kenya, where understanding customers’ daily transport needs and the role of mobility in supporting livelihoods is central to building lasting business relationships.

Reflecting on his experience, Chaurasiya described learning, curiosity and experimentation as principles that will continue to guide him in his new role. He acknowledged that progress has involved testing new approaches, learning from mistakes and building on what has worked.

He also recognised the contributions of customers, distributors, business partners, colleagues and mentors to TVS’s journey across Africa. He thanked customers for trusting TVS as part of their daily lives and livelihoods, and described distributors and partners as the backbone of the company’s growth on the ground.

Chaurasiya credited colleagues for their hard work, ideas and support, while acknowledging mentors for their guidance, honest feedback and belief in his potential.
