The Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services of the Coptic Orthodox Church organized the "Job Hub 6" Employment Forum in cooperation with the "Egypt Youth Impact" initiative, the Ministries of Labor and Youth and Sports, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), Egycopt Foundation, and several leading private-sector companies.
The event was held at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbassia and was attended by Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark; Labor Minister Hassan Raddad; Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil; and Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber.
In his address during the event, Pope Tawadros II emphasized that economic growth is one of the most important factors supporting job creation and achieving social stability. He stressed that cooperation among various state institutions has a direct positive impact on citizens’ lives and contributes to building a better future for young people.
The Pope congratulated all participants and organizers of the forum, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of this event, which aims to serve youth and open new opportunities for them in the labor market. He affirmed that such initiatives reflect a spirit of participation and social responsibility toward younger generations.
The Pope further explained that the participation of government entities, the private sector, and civil society organizations in a single event reflects a shared commitment to supporting young people and preparing them for the labor market, thereby contributing to economic and social development.
For his part, the labor minister said the Egyptian government supports all serious initiatives aimed at empowering youth and providing genuine employment opportunities, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The Minister expressed his appreciation to Pope Tawadros II for sponsoring the event and praised the role played by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the "Egypt Youth Impact" initiative, and the Bishopric of Public, Ecumenical and Social Services.
He stressed that such partnerships constitute a fundamental pillar in efforts to develop and prepare Egyptian citizens for the labor market. He explained that the Ministry of Labor views employment as an integrated process that goes beyond simply providing jobs and begins with training, qualification, and skills development.
He emphasized that "employment training" is one of the ministry’s key priorities in the coming period through upgrading the vocational training system, modernizing training programs to meet domestic and international labor market needs, expanding partnerships with the private sector and civil society organizations, and promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship.
