Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is one of the government's main tools for promoting economic development and creating jobs. Madbouly made the remarks during a meeting marking the handover of the agency's leadership, attended by Mostafa Ismail, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of MSMEDA, and Bassel Rahmy, the outgoing CEO.
The Prime Minister praised Rahmy's efforts during his tenure, noting that the agency had expanded financing and technical support programmes for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthening the sector's contribution to the economy. He congratulated Ismail on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to continue developing the agency's work, supporting entrepreneurs and young business owners, and increasing the contribution of small businesses to Egypt's economy.
Madbouly also stressed the importance of improving the agency's services, expanding access to finance, technical and marketing support, and strengthening coordination with relevant institutions to increase employment opportunities and support domestic production.
