The government will use sessions at the Egypt Forum 2026 to present accurate data, address public concerns and answer citizens’ questions, while setting out clear priorities and timelines for the next phase of development, the Cabinet said Sunday. The announcement came during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to review the main topics of a forum session on “Sustainable Urban Development and Its Impact on Improving Citizens’ Quality of Life.” The forum is scheduled to take place in the New Capital from Oct.
19 to 24. The meeting was attended by Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy, Deputy Minister of Transport for Railways and Electric Traction Wagdi Radwan, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities Ahmed Omran, Assistant Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ahmed Zaki, and other concerned officials.
Madbouly said the session would review development in unsafe and unplanned areas, the construction of new cities, road and transport projects, infrastructure initiatives, and the presidential “Decent Life” initiative to develop Egyptian rural villages. “What matters to us in this session is examining the impact of all these projects on citizens’ lives,” Madbouly said, adding that the discussion would address public concerns, challenges facing the sector, the state’s development targets for the coming period, and implementation timelines for strengthening urban infrastructure.
The government reaffirmed that the forum’s sessions would be based on accurate facts and data, with an emphasis on transparency and open discussion. It said citizens would be treated as active partners in understanding current challenges and development efforts and in shaping a roadmap for the next phase, supported by clear objectives and specific timelines.
