Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly affirmed that the Egyptian state believes real investment lies in building and qualifying the Egyptian citizen to keep pace with future requirements and the modern labor market. The remarks came during the prime minister’s attendance, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, at a celebration organized by the Education Development Fund under the Cabinet to launch the “One Million International Licenses” initiative and the “International Labor Market Observatory,” as part of state efforts to qualify youth and link the education system to the requirements of local and international labor markets.
Madbouly said the state’s approach is based on building a generation capable of facing development challenges and equipped with modern skills and knowledge in line with rapidly changing developments across various fields. He noted that the president continues to direct the preparation and qualification of human cadres according to the latest international standards.
He added that the state places great importance on training and qualification systems to provide job opportunities inside and outside Egypt, as well as remote work opportunities, through developing digital skills, teaching languages, and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship.
The prime minister pointed out that these efforts are directly reflected in improving the living standards of Egyptian families and raising income levels, noting that training and qualification programs are being implemented in cooperation with a number of international bodies and the Ministries of Education and Higher Education to ensure the provision of digital and professional skills that meet global standards.
Madbouly stressed that the state will continue implementing its vision of building a knowledge-based economy and strengthening the role of youth as the main driving force for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development. The celebration began with a documentary film reviewing the establishment journey of the Education Development Fund and its role in supporting the education and training system, in addition to showcasing modern educational programs, online courses and secure learning systems that enable students to acquire digital and technological skills in line with the latest international standards.
The film also highlighted the importance of students obtaining international certificates and licenses as a key tool to enhance competitiveness in the global labor market and build a more advanced professional future for Egyptian youth, while emphasizing the advantages these certificates provide in technology and digital economy fields.
According to statements by the fund, the “One Million International Licenses” initiative aims to provide advanced training programs for youth and grant them internationally accredited certificates in various digital and technological fields, contributing to improving graduates’ qualifications and preparing them for the labor market.
The celebration affirmed that the initiative represents an important step toward achieving a qualitative leap in Egypt’s education and training system through expanding international partnerships and providing modern educational tracks that keep pace with global labor market needs.
The event also witnessed the honoring of a number of distinguished academies and educational institutions nationwide in recognition of their role in supporting creativity and excellence, alongside a review of the achievements made by the Egyptian state in the education sector over recent years.
The presentation addressed efforts to develop educational curricula, train teachers, reduce classroom density and expand the establishment of Japanese schools across governorates as part of the state’s plan to improve education quality and achieve sustainable development.
