Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly affirmed that the state seeks to maximize the utilization of commercial and logistics areas and available assets by attracting diverse investments that meet citizens’ needs and support economic activity across the country’s governorates.
This would contribute to boosting commercial and service activities and creating more job opportunities. Madbouly made these remarks during an extensive tour of Kafr El Sheikh Governorate on Saturday, September 12, 2026, where he and his accompanying delegation inspected the Matrix Sports Club project and reviewed the progress of the “Delta Gate Mall” and “Smart International School” projects in the governorate’s commercial and logistics zone.
Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk said Matrix Sports Club was established through cooperation between the Internal Trade Development Authority and Vernbro Global Investment Company, which is responsible for development works, while Matrix Company for the establishment and management of sports clubs operates the project.
He explained that the club covers an area of 22,500 square meters and is expected to provide around 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Madbouly received a briefing from Internal Trade Development Authority Chairman Hossam el Garahi on Matrix Sports Club, which includes social and administrative buildings, commercial centers, restaurants, children’s play areas, and various sports facilities, including football, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis and padel courts, as well as five semi-Olympic and recreational swimming pools.
The club also features martial arts academies, a gym, squash and table tennis courts, offering diverse sports and recreational activities for all age groups. The first phase has been completed, while the second phase is currently underway. Madbouly stressed the importance of adhering to technical specifications and safety and security standards, particularly at sports facilities, swimming pools and children’s areas, while establishing an effective maintenance and operation system to ensure the quality and sustainability of services.
The Prime Minister also received a briefing on the “Delta Gate Mall” project. It was noted that the project was likewise implemented in cooperation between the Internal Trade Development Authority and Vernbro Global Investment Company, which is responsible for development works, while Red Mall Company for the establishment and management of commercial malls operates the project.
The mall covers an area of 12,500 square meters and is expected to provide nearly 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
