Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the government is proceeding with presidential directives to continue enhancing cooperation with private sector companies, both locally and internationally, to implement the State’s strategy aimed at localizing the automotive industry, increasing the local component ratio, and maximizing exports of products made in Egypt, in a way that contributes to boosting the national economy.
Madbouly made the remarks during his visit on Monday, May 11, 2026, to 6th of October city, in Giza, where he inspected the Boysen Egypt exhaust treatment factory. The premier was accompanied by Industry Minister Khaled Hashem, Giza Governor Ahmed El Ansary, and Ihab Awad, CEO of Boysen Egypt and member of the Supreme Council for Automotive Industry.
During the tour, Madbouly stressed the great importance the State gives to the automotive industry and its feeding industries, noting the government’s serious efforts to localize this vital sector by creating a major industrial base and attracting leading international companies.
He also highlighted the State’s special focus on electric vehicles as part of the efforts to expand the use of clean energy sources and reduce reliance on conventional fuel. For his part, the industry minister said the government is ready to offer exceptional incentives to any global automotive company seeking to localize its industries in Egypt.
Hashem explained that Boysen Egypt specializes in manufacturing car components, particularly exhaust systems, with quality standards that support local industry. He noted the factory also contributes to providing local alternatives for imported components and supporting Egypt’s automotive feeding industries sector.
During the tour, the prime minister listened to a presentation by the CEO of Boysen Egypt, who explained that the company is affiliated with Friedrich Boysen GmbH and its partners, which operate 30 sites worldwide. Awad said Boysen Egypt is an approved partner for some of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers and specializes in producing exhaust silencers and complete exhaust systems.
He added the company already has 10 valuable partnerships with global brands and is seeking to establish more successful partnerships, while currently offering 29 different exhaust systems with plans to expand further. Boysen Egypt CEO also reviewed the growth in the company’s workforce over recent years, noting that the number of employees rose from 43 in 2019 to 90 in 2026, including 15 outsourced workers.
