Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Saturday, September 12, 2026, that the Decent Life 'Hayah Karima' initiative is Egypt’s greatest project of the 21st century, noting that the nationwide program has improved living conditions and public services in rural communities.
Madbouly made the remarks at a press conference following a tour of development and service projects in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate. The PM said that the government is continuing visits to governorates across Egypt to follow up on development projects and improvements in services and living standards.
During the tour, Madbouly visited Motobas, where he inspected the expansion of a water treatment plant that will serve more than 130,000 people under the Decent Life initiative. He added that the program is designed to improve daily life for residents by expanding access to essential services and infrastructure in villages across the country.
The Decent Life initiative covers projects in healthcare, drinking water, sanitation, roads, electricity and other public services in rural communities. Madbouly was accompanied by several cabinet ministers and Kafr El Sheikh Governor Ibrahim Mekki during the tour.
