Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly attended a ceremony in New Alamein City on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, marking the 12th anniversary of the establishment of the 'Tahya Misr Fund'. The event is attended by a number of ministers, senior officials and state representatives to mark 12 years since the fund was established.
The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Mohamed Wafiq, followed by a documentary tracing the Tahya Misr Fund’s journey and activities over the past 12 years. At the beginning of his speech, Matrouh Governor Mohamed El-Zamlout welcomed the attendees to the ceremony, extending his greetings and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, whom he described as the founder of the initiative and the visionary behind it 12 years ago, noting that his vision has left a positive impact across all of Egypt’s governorates.
He said the documentary film chronicling the Tahya Misr Fund’s activities and contributions to supporting the Gaza Strip and various governorates across the country demonstrated the scale of the fund’s achievements on the ground, stressing that its accomplishments speak for themselves and require no theoretical elaboration.
He added that Matrouh’s hosting of the event is a source of pride for its residents, particularly as it comes only days after Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly’s visit to the governorate. The visit, he said, had a positive impact on citizens and resulted in a number of decisions and projects expected to benefit Matrouh residents and advance development efforts in the governorate.
Zamlout affirmed that the Tahya Misr Fund, along with civil society organizations, has made significant contributions across Egypt’s governorates. He expressed hope that the ceremony would be a great success and pave the way for greater cooperation among civil society organizations to reach all villages and hamlets across Egypt.
Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy said the fund, launched under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, has become a distinguished model of integration between the state and society, reflecting the values of participation, national responsibility and social solidarity.
She said the fund has played a key role in supporting state efforts to implement projects and initiatives aimed at improving citizens’ living standards and providing a decent life, particularly for vulnerable groups, as part of an integrated vision for comprehensive and sustainable development across Egypt.
Menshawy noted that the fund has made a real difference in citizens’ lives through projects in social and healthcare services, support for the most needy groups, improving services, responding to crises and disasters, and contributing to major development projects.
