The offer, branded Shell Magical Friday, will be available at participating Shell service stations across the country, allowing motorists to purchase the premium fuel without paying the usual price difference. Vivo Energy Kenya, which distributes and markets Shell fuels and lubricants in the country, said the initiative is intended to thank customers for their continued support amid a challenging operating environment.
Managing director Peter Murungi said the promotion gives motorists a chance to experience Shell V-Power, a premium fuel that is exclusively imported into Kenya by the company. According to Vivo Energy, Shell V-Power is formulated to clean critical engine components and improve engine protection and performance.
Premium fuels typically retail at a higher price than regular unleaded petrol because of their enhanced additive packages, making Friday's offer an unusual opportunity for motorists to access the product at no extra cost. The promotion comes at a time when motorists continue to monitor fuel costs closely as transport and energy prices remain a key household expense.
