Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gomblat inspected Helwan Company for Metallic Appliances (Military Factory 360) on Monday, October 12, 2026, to review workflow and the latest production developments. The visit was part of his field tours of the ministry’s affiliated companies and units to ensure regular operations and improve performance and productivity.
During the tour, the minister reviewed production processes on several lines, including the water-heater assembly line, which attracts considerable customer demand. He also inspected workshops for packaging and testing water heaters, cutting sheet metal, and manufacturing the copper coils used in water-heater production.
Gomblat also emphasized the importance of keeping pace with market changes and striking a balance between product quality and cost. He noted that this would enhance the competitiveness of civilian products manufactured by the ministry’s affiliated companies, boost sales, and maximize the use of available resources.
Gomblat said that military production companies were working to utilize surplus production capacity to meet domestic market needs and serve the civilian sector, while stepping up efforts to deepen local manufacturing, reduce reliance on imports, and lower the import bill.
The minister concluded his tour with a meeting with company employees, during which he listened to their views and suggestions. He praised their role in supporting production and ensuring smooth operations, calling for concerted efforts to improve performance and meet production targets while complying with quality, safety, and occupational health standards to protect human capital.
