Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gamblat on Saturday, July 11, 2026, discussed opportunities to boost cooperation in artificial intelligence, software and digital technologies with a delegation from Intel, the global technology company specializing in digital solutions, processors and AI technologies.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Military Production's Training Sector headquarters in Al Salam City, within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to strengthen cooperation with leading international companies to localize advanced technologies.

During the meeting, Gamblat said the Ministry of Military Production, as one of the main pillars of Egyptian industry, is implementing a new strategy to modernize its affiliated companies through digital transformation, broader adoption of industrial software, artificial intelligence applications and upgraded manufacturing programs in line with the rapid global evolution of smart manufacturing.

He said the Ministry is seeking to maximize cooperation with major international specialized companies, in line with the political leadership's directives, to transfer cutting-edge technologies, deepen local manufacturing, and make greater use of the industrial, technological and human capabilities available across its affiliated companies.

Gamblat said the software industry has become the future of manufacturing and the driving force behind modern production systems, while AI applications have become a key component across industrial operations and supply chains. He added that the Ministry is expanding the adoption of advanced digital solutions within its affiliated companies, developing digital infrastructure, and building an integrated smart software ecosystem to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity.

The Minister stressed the ministry's commitment to investing in human capital as the cornerstone of sustainable success by training and qualifying technical personnel across its affiliated companies in parallel with upgrading production systems and introducing advanced technologies.

He said cooperation with strategic partners such as Intel supports the transfer and localization of modern technologies, strengthens the competitiveness of Egyptian products, and generates added value for the national economy. The two sides discussed cooperation opportunities in several priority areas, including integrating AI applications into production line development, establishing integrated software systems to maximize added value for the national economy, and cooperation on servers used in data centers to support digital transformation and AI projects.

They also highlighted the importance of expanding advanced data centers to accommodate the rapid growth in AI applications and digital services as part of Egypt's efforts to build an integrated digital infrastructure.
