Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev held a telephone conversation with Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen to review current issues of bilateral cooperation, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the press service of the Kazakh MFA. The two sides emphasized the further development of trade, economic, and investment ties, noting the high level of partnership and significant potential for expansion.
They discussed opportunities for joint projects and collaboration in priority sectors. Special attention was given to the safety of international shipping and the stability of Kazakhstan’s energy supplies to European markets, underscoring the importance of reliable transport and energy routes.
Following the talks, both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Kazakh‑Dutch relations and maintaining regular contacts at various levels. Earlier, Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Executive Coordinator of the UN Volunteers (UNV) Toily Kurbanov discussed key areas of cooperation within the framework of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026, proclaimed at Kazakhstan’s initiative.
