President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today reviewed progress on capital Astana's comprehensive urban development, green space initiatives, and efforts to create a safer, more comfortable environment, Qazinform News Agency cites Akorda. Astana Mayor Zhenis Kassymbek reported to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that this year plans include the transformation of 173 urban locations (public and courtyard areas), as well as the planting of more than 1.1 million green spaces (seedlings, shrubs, flowers, and trees).
One of the key projects is the development of the Samal Park area, which will become a new attraction point for residents. The park is being designed as a multifunctional space for family, sports, and cultural activities. Earlier, Qazinform reported the Head of State takes part in the nationwide environmental campaign Taza Qazaqstan.
