Assistant Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade for Media Promotion and Information Mohamed Ayyad stressed on Sunday, August 23, 2026, that developing young people’s skills and preparing them for the labor market are essential to enhancing their competitiveness and enabling them to benefit from opportunities in the business and investment sectors.
Ayyad made the remarks during the ministry’s participation in the second cohort of Cairo University’s “Future Leaders” camp, held under the theme “Labor Market Skills and Artificial Intelligence.” Representing Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid, Ayyad delivered a lecture titled “How Can Your Idea Become a Successful Project That Attracts Investment?” to around 200 students.
He highlighted the growing importance of technical, analytical, digital, and interpersonal skills, including data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and effective use of artificial intelligence tools. Ayyad also introduced students to career opportunities in investment, foreign trade, finance, insurance, and non-banking financial services, including positions at the ministry and its affiliated entities, the Egyptian Exchange, and the Financial Regulatory Authority.
He explained how promising ideas can be transformed into investment-ready projects through market analysis, scalable business models, appropriate financing, effective project management, and responsiveness to changing business conditions. Ayyad also emphasized the importance of exports and access to international markets, encouraging students to pursue continuous learning, practical experience, and skills development to keep pace with technological and economic changes.
The event concluded with an open dialogue with students on investment, entrepreneurship, financing, exports, and career opportunities.
