The Ministry of Industry has launched a unified digital platform offering five services to support manufacturers, facilitate industrial investment and boost local production. The platform provides digital services covering the various stages of an industrial investment project, from developing an initial idea and preparing a feasibility study to establishing and operating a factory, expanding production, marketing products and accessing new domestic and international markets.
The initiative aims to improve the industrial investment climate and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian products. The five services seek to simplify procedures for investors and manufacturers, strengthen integration among industrial facilities, increase reliance on locally sourced production inputs and help struggling factories resume operations.
The platform features a complaints management service that introduces binding timeframes for responding to manufacturers’ complaints, in coordination with the relevant ministries and government agencies. The system enables real-time monitoring of performance indicators, including response times, resolution rates, recurring complaints and manufacturers’ satisfaction levels.
The Ministry has also established a follow-up committee comprising relevant officials that meets weekly to review unresolved complaints and cases requiring reconsideration, with the aim of expediting decisions and ensuring impartiality and transparency. The platform includes a digital database of locally available production inputs, allowing factories to list the materials and components they supply for use by other industrial establishments.
The service aims to strengthen supply-chain integration, provide domestic alternatives to imported inputs and deepen local manufacturing. It also features a digital marketplace where manufacturers, traders and exporters can showcase finished industrial products.
