Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met on Sunday with Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid as part of efforts to strengthen coordination between the two ministries in support of investment-attraction efforts, the promotion of foreign trade and economic development.
Following the meeting, Farid held an expanded meeting and dialogue with ambassadors recently assigned abroad to head diplomatic missions. The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination between the two ministries, review efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and promote available investment opportunities across various priority sectors.
It also focused on opening new foreign markets for Egyptian exports and boosting trade with different countries, in line with Egypt’s economic development objectives and Egypt Vision 2030. The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and institutional partnership between the two ministries in promoting the Egyptian economy abroad, through enhanced coordination between Egyptian diplomatic missions and commercial representation offices, targeting promising markets and attracting foreign investment.
Talks also highlighted Egypt’s progress in improving the investment climate and developing infrastructure, which enhances the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy and supports the state’s economic development efforts. Farid affirmed that the ministry is working to protect Egypt’s trade and investment interests as a foundation for increasing exports and attracting investments that generate economic and social returns.
He added that the Egyptian economy is experiencing stability in its macroeconomic indicators, reflecting a positive improvement in Egypt’s investment environment.
