Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk has called on Indian companies to increase their investments in Egypt and take advantage of the promising opportunities and economic potential offered by the local market. Kouchouk made the remarks during a meeting with S. Ganesh Kumar, Managing Director of TCI Sanmar Chemicals, on the sidelines of the BRICS meetings in India.
“We are keen to attract more foreign investments to support development and create additional job opportunities,” Kouchouk said, highlighting Egypt’s packages of tax and customs incentives and facilities aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and the private sector.
The minister stated that the government was working to simplify and digitize procedures and remove obstacles facing investors in a way that would help boost economic activity.
