Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said Egypt is working to provide the highest cyber security safeguards to protect the data of the state, taxpayers and investors and preserve their rights. Speaking at the CAISEC 2026 Conference, Kouchouk said investment in technology is an investment in the future and a key driver of the transition toward a more competitive economy capable of achieving sustainable growth.
He pointed out that the technology sector has been Egypt's fastest-growing sector over the past five years, while services exports have continued to increase, adding that significant opportunities for further growth remain available. The finance minister expressed confidence in the capabilities of Egyptian youth and their ability to help shape a better future for the country, stressing that major challenges require innovative solutions and that startups and entrepreneurs are best positioned to provide them.
He also announced a new initiative to cooperate with startups in developing smart solutions to improve public services, affirming the ministry's openness to innovative ideas and technological solutions aimed at enhancing performance and facilitating services for citizens.
CAISEC 2026 is being held amid growing interest in strengthening cyber security and advancing digital transformation as key pillars of building a more efficient and competitive digital economy capable of keeping pace with rapid technological developments and maximizing the benefits of artificial intelligence and innovation.
