Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk affirmed Egypt’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation and exchanging expertise with Türkiye, aiming to formulate progressive, development-oriented fiscal policies in both countries. He stressed Egypt's keenness to achieve greater economic integration by boosting trade, transport and logistical connectivity between the two countries.
Kouchouk made the remarks during a meeting with Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek on the sidelines of their participation in the Istanbul Economic Forum. "We are working to exchange expertise in digital transformation, customs and tax development, and public procurement," Kouchouk said, highlighting efforts to strengthen cooperation in human-capital development and institutional capacity-building through training programs based on international best practices.
He also pointed to the importance of benefiting from Türkiye's experience in facilitating and streamlining procedures that support the competitiveness of the export system, thereby enhancing the Egyptian economy's ability to access global markets.
