“Egypt is positioning itself as an attractive regional hub for Indian industrial investment, offering access to African, European, Arab and American markets through its network of free trade agreements,” Vice Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) Mahmoud Serag said.
Speaking at a business dinner hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Serag urged Indian companies to expand investment and establish manufacturing projects in Egypt, citing the country’s advantages as a regional production and export hub.
He said potential cooperation spans pharmaceuticals, food processing, textiles, automotive components, chemicals, green energy, mining, cables and technology. Industry Minister Khaled Hashem said Egypt aims to attract high-quality industrial investment, localize advanced technology, boost production and exports, and create jobs.
Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh highlighted economic and legislative reforms aimed at improving Egypt’s investment climate and supporting private-sector growth.
