Egypt's Institute of National Planning (INP) and Sudan's Omdurman National Bank discussed expanding cooperation in training, research and capacity building, with plans to develop a joint framework for future collaboration. INP President Ashraf el Araby held talks with a delegation from Omdurman National Bank headed by Director General Abdel Moneim Mohamed el Tayeb to discuss areas of mutual interest and opportunities for cooperation.
El Araby said the talks focused on using the institute's training, research and consultancy expertise to develop the skills of banking professionals and support institutional development. He added that the NPI's programs could contribute to transferring knowledge and expertise to Sudan and other Arab and African countries, particularly through professional training and leadership development.
The Sudanese delegation toured the institute's educational and training facilities, including lecture halls and its library, which contains specialized publications covering banking, finance and management. El Tayeb said that Omdurman National Bank is interested in benefiting from the NPI's academic and training expertise to improve the professional skills and performance of its employees.
The two sides discussed establishing a joint framework covering training, capacity building and other priority areas as part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation.
