Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is close to officially launching an online platform for investor complaints. GAFI CEO Mohamed Awad said on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, this comes as part of government efforts to streamline the handling of investor complaints.
Awad said the platform is being launched under directives from Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid to unify channels for receiving investor complaints and ensure they are handled transparently and professionally. The new platform will allow investors to submit complaints and suggestions electronically, track their status using a reference number until they are resolved, and evaluate the quality of the service, he said, adding that complaints will be processed within a defined response timeframe.
Awad said the platform would also serve as a tool to measure the efficiency of Egypt's investment system and provide real-time reports to policymakers. It will use artificial intelligence to analyze and classify complaints, helping improve the speed and efficiency of responses in coordination with relevant authorities while ensuring uninterrupted service throughout the week.
