The Chamber of Apparel and Home Textile Industries at the Federation of Egyptian Industries has signed an agreement with the Egyptian Industrial Exports Company to establish a permanent exhibition space at the company's logistics center in Nairobi, Kenya, aiming to expand Egyptian exports across African markets.
The agreement allocates a 250-square-meter permanent showroom for Egyptian manufacturers to display their products throughout the year, allowing quicker access to customers in East Africa and neighboring countries. For his part, the Chamber Chairman Mohamed Abdel Salam said that the initiative is expected to help Egyptian companies enter new markets and increase garment exports to the targeted African countries by at least 20%.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of the Egyptian Industrial Exports Company Mona Wahba said the agreement also includes logistics services such as shipping, warehousing and insurance, making exports more efficient. She added that the 20,000-square-meter logistics center serves several Egyptian industries and is designed to simplify exports to African markets.
