The fifth edition of the Egypt Mining Forum kicked off on Monday, September 28, 2026, in the New Capital under the patronage and in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, under the theme “Unlocking the Exploration Potential of Egypt and the Arabian-Nubian Shield.” The event is attended by major international mining companies, as well as ministers and officials responsible for mining from Arab and African countries.
The forum, held on September 28 and 29, serves as an international platform to showcase Egypt’s abundant mineral resources. Recent reforms aim to create an attractive investment climate for exploration and prospecting and encourage downstream industries in order to maximize added value.
The gathering will also announce the results of investment opportunities offered by the Egyptian Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority last June for gold, phosphate, talc and kaolin exploration. The initiative seeks to facilitate the allocation of mining areas and accelerate the start of operations.
