The Egypt-France Business Forum 2026 kicked off Monday at the French Senate’s Luxembourg Palace in Paris, bringing together more than 300 policymakers and business leaders from both countries to explore investment opportunities and forge new partnerships. The forum is attended by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority Ahmed El-Sobky, and France’s Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad Éléonore Caroit.
Organized by Business France, the forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation between Egypt and France and accelerate the establishment of new partnerships between companies and institutions in both countries through dialogue sessions and business meetings focused on investment opportunities and concrete projects.
The event seeks to facilitate direct communication between decision-makers in the public and private sectors. The Investment Minister is scheduled to hold one-on-one meetings on the sidelines of the forum with representatives of 14 French companies to discuss ways to bring their investments into the Egyptian market and expand cooperation and partnerships with Egyptian companies and institutions.
The forum highlights opportunities offered by the Egyptian market to French companies, supported by the country’s large population and strategic position as a link between African, Middle Eastern and European markets, particularly through the Suez Canal. Business France described Egypt as the second-largest consumer market in the Middle East and Africa by value, offering significant potential for French companies.
It added that Egypt’s economic and development transformation is opening up new opportunities for French businesses, particularly under the Egypt Vision 2030 strategy, with promising prospects in infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, technology and services.
Business France said projects in infrastructure, transport, energy, water, healthcare and digital services, along with the expansion of modernization and development projects, provide multiple areas for cooperation, investment and partnerships between Egyptian and French companies.
Discussions will address opportunities for cooperation in agriculture, infrastructure, mobility, energy, healthcare and retail, as well as emerging technology fields, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data centers, in addition to vocational training.
