“Egypt’s economic and investment ties with Italy are “deep-rooted,” with Italy ranking fourth among foreign investors in Egypt,” Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Awad said. Speaking to Nile News TV channel, Awad said Italian investment has a strong presence in the Egyptian market, with around 1,400 companies operating in Egypt with Italian contributions.
He said the Egyptian-Italian Business Forum was an important step toward strengthening ties between the two countries’ business communities and opening new areas for cooperation in key economic and investment sectors. The forum, held Friday, aimed to boost bilateral investment, expand trade and support new opportunities for economic cooperation.
