Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat and Bulgarian Ambassador in Cairo Deyan Katratchev discussed ways to deepen bilateral industrial cooperation and expand technology transfer during talks in the New Capital on Saturday. Gomblat said the ministry is implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to localize advanced manufacturing technologies, forge strategic partnerships with the private sector, attract investment and strengthen Egypt's industrial capabilities in line with international quality standards.
The minister reviewed the production, technological and technical capabilities of the ministry's affiliated companies, stressing the importance of developing human resources alongside adopting advanced manufacturing systems to support sustainable industrial growth.
The two sides also reviewed progress in cooperation between Egyptian military production companies and Bulgarian firms, exploring opportunities to broaden partnerships across manufacturing sectors. Katratchev praised Egypt's industrial capabilities and reaffirmed Bulgaria's commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation as the two countries mark 100 years of diplomatic relations.
