Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny met African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) President Florent Serge Dzota on Thursday, September 10, 2026, on the sidelines of the second Egypt International Airshow in New Alamein. The talks focused on strengthening African aviation cooperation, improving air transport standards and advancing integration across the continent.
The two sides also discussed preparations for upcoming international and African aviation meetings in November, as well as priorities for building a sustainable air transport industry capable of addressing emerging challenges. El-Hefny reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting African cooperation and integration in civil aviation, while Dzota praised Egypt’s expertise and role in advancing the sector across the continent.
