Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gombalat said the ministry aims to increase the added value of locally manufactured products, expand industrial exports and reduce the country's import bill during the 2026/27 fiscal year, as part of efforts to support the national economy.
Speaking at a meeting with employees who completed leadership and management training programs, Gombalat said the ministry is adopting a modern institutional approach based on strategic planning, innovation, governance and performance measurement to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Salah Soliman Gombalat said the ministry's industrial base includes 260 production lines, more than 700 CNC machines and advanced testing facilities, providing strong capabilities to deepen local manufacturing, localize strategic industries and strengthen the competitiveness of Egyptian products.
Gombalat stressed that meeting the needs of the Armed Forces and police remains the ministry's primary mission, while surplus production capacity will continue to serve the civilian market, supporting sustainable industrial development and Egypt's Vision 2030 objectives.
