Civil Aviation Minister Sameh el Hefny held a meeting with President of British company Acron Aviation Ron Nye on the sidelines of his participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel and Head of the Planning Sector at EgyptAir Ayman Thabet.
The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation in flight simulators, advanced training systems and the exchange of expertise, in a way that contributes to developing human resources through the EgyptAir Training Academy and the Egyptian Academy of Aviation Sciences.
The two sides reviewed the latest solutions offered by the company in simulation technologies and operational qualification, as well as ways to benefit from modern technologies in developing training programs for pilots, flight crews and technical staff. These efforts aim to enhance human resource efficiency, raise operational safety standards and keep pace with rapid developments in the aviation industry.
Hefny stressed that investment in human resources represents one of the main pillars of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s strategy. He noted that adopting the latest training and simulation technologies has become essential for preparing qualified personnel equipped with the skills required to operate modern systems in accordance with international standards.
He added that the EgyptAir Training Academy is one of the leading regional training institutions, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to expanding cooperation with specialized international companies to transfer knowledge and technology, develop training programs and strengthen the academy’s position as a distinguished regional center in various civil aviation fields.
For his part, Adel affirmed that developing the training system is one of the key pillars of EgyptAir’s strategy. He pointed out that the company continues to update its training programs and utilize the latest simulation technologies to support operational efficiency and the national carrier’s sustainable development plans.
Meanwhile, president of Acron Aviation expressed his pride in cooperating with Egypt’s civil aviation sector, affirming the company’s interest in expanding cooperation with the EgyptAir Training Academy and the Egyptian Academy of Aviation Sciences and providing advanced simulation and training solutions to meet the needs of the aviation industry in the coming period.
He also presented the company’s new corporate identity, which was officially launched during its participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, marking its first appearance under the new brand identity.
