Banque Misr has launched a new awareness campaign under the slogan “Your Data Is a Red Line”, coinciding with Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The campaign aims to raise customer and public awareness of cyber fraud risks and highlight common methods used to steal banking and personal data.
The campaign highlights common cyber fraud techniques, including messages and links from unknown sources claiming that recipients have won prizes or asking them to update their data, as well as calls impersonating the bank to obtain banking information. It stresses the importance of keeping banking and personal data confidential, particularly passwords, verification codes, and bank card details.
The campaign also emphasizes that Banque Misr does not ask customers to share such information by phone, email or social media. The campaign includes awareness messages across social media platforms and various media outlets to reach as many customers and members of the public as possible and strengthen their ability to identify and safely respond to fraud attempts.
The campaign reflects Banque Misr’s continued efforts to promote banking and digital awareness and support the safe use of banking services under the “Your Data Is a Red Line” message.
