Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the latest developments in the production of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) from palm fronds, as well as procedures for establishing the Arab Company for Compressed Wood Manufacturing were reviewed.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the New Valley Governorate and in coordination with the Waste Management Regulatory Authority at the Ministry of Environment to maximize the utilization of palm products and agricultural waste, he said. The remarks came during talks between the Abdel Latif and New Valley Governor Hanan Magdy.
The meeting focused on benefiting from the organization's manufacturing capabilities to meet the needs of comprehensive development projects in the governorate including manufacturing and supplying vehicles for youth employment initiatives, upgrading infrastructure, equipping smart classrooms and implementing environmental protection projects such as solid waste recycling systems, environmentally friendly charcoal production furnaces, agricultural waste processing machines, water treatment and purification systems, wastewater treatment facilities, eco-friendly transportation, recycling of electronic waste and wood, modernization of mechanical equipment in the governorate's districts and centers and other integrated development projects.
For her part, Magdy praised the AOI's advanced manufacturing capabilities and the ongoing cooperation between the two sides. She highlighted the organization's technical expertise and its ability to overcome challenges to ensure the successful implementation of all areas of cooperation with the required efficiency, within the scheduled timeframe and in accordance with international quality standards.
