SCZONE's Chairman has signed a contract with Turkish investor EROĞLU Global Holding A.Ş. to establish a carton and packaging manufacturing facility in the Qantara West Industrial Zone, with committed investments totaling $175 million.
The facility will produce carton and packaging materials locally, reducing import dependence for Egyptian manufacturers in the industrial and consumer goods sectors. The Suez Canal Zone location enables logistics advantages for regional exports. Turkish direct investment of this scale signals foreign confidence in Egypt's industrial zone infrastructure and may drive ancillary demand for steel (for equipment) and cement (for construction), though these are secondary effects rather than primary project outputs.
