Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed an agreement with Steel Con to establish a metal components manufacturing facility in the East Port Said Industrial Zone. The project involves an investment of approximately USD 2 mln and will create 50 direct and 20 indirect jobs.
The agreement was signed by Hossam Abdel Aziz, Managing Director of East Port Said Development Company, and Marwan Mohamed Ali Shaarawy, Co-founder and representative of Steel Con, in the presence of SCZONE Chairman Walid Gamal El Din. The plant will be built on a 5,388-square-meter site and will manufacture construction components, trusses and structural metal parts for industrial projects within the zone.
According to SCZONE, the investment is expected to strengthen industrial integration in East Port Said by increasing the local availability of construction products and metal components required by existing and future manufacturing projects.
