Ahead of talks with EU leadership, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held an informal meeting with European Council President António Costa, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing Akorda. Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in Brussels for an official visit.
On Tuesday, June 23, negotiations will be held at the European Council headquarters with EU leaders António Costa and Ursula von der Leyen. Several important joint documents are expected to be signed during the visit. The Head of State also met with Kazakhstani citizens currently studying or working in Belgium.
During the meeting, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated compatriots on the adoption of the new Constitution, emphasising that it designates the development of education, science, and innovation as a strategic priority for the state. He also encouraged young people to learn foreign languages.
