National carrier launches tourist trains "Keruen Express" and "Jibek Joly" for the holiday of Nauryz On the eve of the celebration of Nauryz, JSC "Passenger Transportation" announces the launch of two tourist trains - "Keruen Express" and "Jibek Joly", which will connect Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Passengers will be able to travel along historical routes and immerse themselves in the cultural heritage of the two countries in the atmosphere of the spring holiday. The tourist train "Keruen Express" will depart from Almaty and go along the route "Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Samarkand-Taraz-Almaty".
The duration of the trip will be 7 days - from March 21 to 27, 2025. The train "Jibek Joly" will also start its route from Almaty, following the direction "Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Samarkand-Almaty". The tour will last 6 days - from March 20 to 25, 2025. Tourist trains are formed from new domestically produced carriages with a cozy interior, elements of national ornament.
The Keruen Express train consists of 5 carriages: 4 compartment carriages and 1 restaurant carriage. The Jibek Joly train consists of 7 carriages, including 6 compartment carriages and 1 restaurant carriage. In Turkestan, tourists will visit sacred places and architectural monuments, including the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the Caravan-sarai, recreating the atmosphere of the Great Silk Road.
In Tashkent, tourists will have a rich program, including a visit to the historical complex of Hazrati Imam, the Barak Khan Madrasah, the mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffali Shashi and Tole-Bi. In addition, guests of the capital of Uzbekistan will be able to enjoy modern entertainment by visiting the theme park "Magic City" and other attractions.
In Samarkand, tourists will discover majestic historical monuments: the Shakhi-Zinda complex, the Gur-Emir mausoleum, Registan Square with the Sher-Dor madrasah, the Tillya-Kari madrasah and the Ulugbek madrasah. The last stop of the Keruen Express train will be Taraz - one of the oldest cities in Kazakhstan, famous for its rich history and architectural heritage.
