Chairman of Misr Phosphate Company Nasser Shaheen met with representatives of SGS and TUV, two leading international providers of inspection, testing, and quality certification services, on the sidelines of the 32nd International Fertilizer Conference organized by the Arab Fertilizer Association.
This came as part of the company's efforts to strengthen its regional and international presence and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian phosphate ore in global markets. The meeting was attended by Tarek Emam, Vice Chairman of the company, along with a number of Misr Phosphate executives responsible for quality, exports, and operations.
Discussions focused on future export targets and mechanisms for monitoring ore quality at ports and aboard export vessels, ensuring that shipments reach customers in full compliance with technical specifications and contractual requirements agreed upon with importing companies worldwide.
Shaheen stated that Misr Phosphate places quality and compliance with specifications at the forefront of its priorities, considering them essential to maintaining customer confidence and strengthening the reputation of Egyptian phosphate ore in regional and international markets.
He added that the company continues to develop its inspection and monitoring systems to maintain its leading position in the industry. "Our future vision is based on a well-planned expansion of exports and overcoming challenges through innovation, improved operational efficiency, and stronger partnerships with specialized technical organizations," Shaheen said.
He added, "This approach will ensure the sustainability of the company's leadership in the phosphate sector while supporting the state's efforts to maximize the economic value of mineral resources."
