Minister of Labor, Mr. Hassan Raddad, met Minister of Labor of the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Yousef bin Abdulhussain Khalaf on the sidelines of his participation in the 114th session of the International Labour Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland. The two sides discuss a number of files of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in the fields of labor, employment and human resources development.
The two ministers affirmed the depth of the brotherly relations that bind the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the shared keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially with regard to labor issues, developing labor markets and qualifying human resources to keep pace with global changes.
Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad reviewed the Egyptian state's efforts in developing the labor and vocational training system, implementing skills development programs and qualifying youth according to the needs of the labor market, as well as the developments in labor legislation that enhance the decent work environment and support sustainable development plans.
The meeting addressed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of vocational training, exchange of experiences on employment policies, digital transformation in labor services, youth skills development, and strengthening social protection for workers, as well as exchanging successful experiences in facing the challenges posed by the rapid changes in labor markets.
